What's been going on?

Well I've been back from Jamaica for a little over 6 weeks now and I miss it. In a way my heart is still there. I miss my family and friends that are there and wish they were closer to me. I really would love to move back, but the current condition of the country is really too scary for me right now.

Andrew(my bro) celebrated his 24th birthday the day before Halloween. We took him to Genghi's Grill for part 1 of his birthday celebration. Austin and I got magic candles and put on his cake, it was hilarious. For part 2, we went to fox and hound to watch the Texas-Texas Tech game. Big mistake on my part. I seriously didn't think one place could be that loud. Nonetheless it was fun. Andrew felt special and that is really all that mattered.

Austin's birthday is coming up next monday and I really have no idea what to do for him. I would love to make him feel special, but I think I do that every day. Last year this time, we were getting ready to head to Shreveport for his birthday, but this year, due to work, he won't be able to take the time off. We are really excited about the holidays. Thanksgiving/Christmas are our favorite holidays. I wish my family was able to come and spend it with us, but sadly they won't be able to make it.

We've also been talking about adopting. Pregnancy is not an option for me right now because of my kidneys and the fact that I am contemplating lapband. I've always wanted to adopt a child and so has Austin. We never thought we would ever be ready, but we were watching a show 3 weeks ago about adoption and both looked at each other and knew that now was the time. Our friend Katy almost gave us the opportunity to do so, but that didn't work out the way we planned, so in january, we'll start going through agencies. I am soooooooooooo excited. I can't wait to be a mommy. I am scared of what Austin will do to my child though..........hehe..........I think he will be a great dad.

Peace out :D

Attached is a video of Andrew trying to blow his candles out and of course, me laughing like a hyena.

James - I hate trick candles! Good to know that you have a blog though. =)
