What is wrong with me?

So yesterday started out as what is a normal saturday for me. Get Austin up for work, then get Andrew up for class. The boys leave and I sit and play on the computer for a few hours. Then I start cleaning. About halfway through, my back starts hurting. I pay no attention to this and continue. It progresses and I start to feel a pain that I am all too familiar with. Yes, my kidney is hurting. I take a break and watch some tv, hoping it will go away. Well it didn't. It continued to get worse and I continued to ignore it. We go to dinner, even took a little trip to Target. Well by 7 pm, it's gotten soooooo bad that it cannot be ignored. The pain is so severe that I cannot even walk or stand up straight. That means one thing, time to go to the doctor. Now you know what really makes me mad, my kidneys ONLY do this when doctor's offices are closed, eg. first onset was Christmas day. Anyhoo, we get to the hospital and of course, first thing needed is urine. 90 minutes later, Mrs. Mlady you have a kidney infection. Really? I didn't already know that. Thought I was gonna get some drugs and just be told to follow up with my primary care physician. But nope, the doctor is concerned that this is happening way too often, so now comes the blood work. Anyone that's been in an ER knows this means another 2 hours or so. So we wait. Then came drugs, this by far was the most painful medication I've taken. Usually they've just given me pills when they realize that I am not having kidney failure, but apparently this one was worst, cause they gave it to me through the little IV thingy(look, I am not a doctor, I don't know what it's called), I can literally feel this go through my veins and it STINGS, but the nurse did warn me. So I get that and the pain seems to start disappearing. Then doc returns and say well, we need to do a cat scan to see if it is kidney stones. That was kinda fun. This is the second time I am doing one of those, first time was for my head. But this big thing(there's that lack of medical training again) just spins around you and I guess it scans your body.

Fast forward 4 hours later and I get the usual response that I've been getting for 9 months. Well, we don't know why you keep getting recurring infections. Oh well, I guess I will just wait for the next one to happen.

I must mention something that really bothers me. I didn't go to my usual hospital, I went to the one closest to home. While sitting in the ER waiting for a room, I'd already seen the triage nurse at this point, a baby came in with a bloody head. He was crying hysterically, but for some strange reason, the nurse felt it more important to see the guy with the fish hook in his knee and the other guy with the dislocated shoulder first. As far as I know, it's not first come first serve at the ER, but rather more severe cases first. You'd think a screaming baby with a bloody head would be more severe right? Oh well............I guess they know what they are doing.

I am off to go take some drugs and go back to sleep. At least I have tomorrow off to rest too. We were supposed to be going to Tyler this weekend, but guess that's not happening.
